authors' LaTeX source. Mathematical formulas were rendered to vector SVG with MathJax from the
per-formula TeX annotations, and are positioned with exact box metrics (width, height and
baseline depth in ex units) so that they align with the surrounding text and scale
with the reader's chosen font size. Figures are the SVG/PNG assets produced by arXiv's
rendering pipeline.
15,132 mathematical expressions in the book collapse to 5,333 distinct vector renderings; each is embedded once and referenced wherever it recurs.
